Blue Sky Golf Club (formerly known as Mill Cove Golf Club), which opened in 1990, is an Arnold Palmer Signature golf course located in the heart of the Jacksonville golfing community.
Blue Sky Golf Club has wetlands and marsh areas, tree-lined fairways and native bunkers.
The par-72 golf course measures 6,784 yards from the longest tees. The course rating is 72.1, with a slope rating of 130 on Bermuda grass.

Needs work
All the greens are in bad shape. I played for half price since they had just punched the greens and fairways. Based on the condition of the greens and course in general, this is all I would pay. I don't see it improving anytime soon.

Good value fun range
Hang out at range a lot. Sometimes play a round. Challenging ninth and eighteenth. Greens are hurt bad on lieke six holes right now. Fungus?

Course is I. Terrible conditions
They need to just shut it down for a few months and fix the greens. It is probably the worst course in the are now
Worst bang for your buck
This course is nowhere near worth 55+ dollars. The greens except for a handful, we’re all sand/dirt. Fairways are fine. Half the tee boxes are non existent and I understand if they’re being worked on, but at least lower the prices if you want people to play. Over priced and a very average layout.

How did it get this bad
I’ve been playing this course for 17 years and I am very disappointed by its current condition. It seems like they have stopped putting money and expertise into maintaining this great layout. Several greens have no grass whatsoever and are covered in sand. The rough and fringes of the greens are either bare or varied with grasses and weeds. The tees are not much better.
It’s confusing to me that they would put so much emphasis on selling food and drinks and trying to be Top Golf on the driving range instead of running a quality public golf course. Maybe that’s what Hampton Golf wants. Either way, it will be a long time and several great reviews before I go back. Very disappointed.

Highway robbery what they are charging to play this course.
This has potential to be a good course. It’s easy and short with wide fairways. Unfortunately several greens are in absolute horrific conditions. Only played the front 9 this time and 3 of the greens were literally dead. Nothing but sand. (Even the practice green was a sand pit.) The other greens were ok but many had weeds (poa annua) growing on them. Several even had sandy spots on them too. Airways were thin and often had to move the ball to place it on grass in the fairway. Also no sand in the carts for divots - looks like some type of fertilizer/gardening potting soil to put on your divots.
Was a late afternoon tee time so the price was only $27 for 9, but they shouldn’t even charge $27 for 18 on this course. On the weekends they are charging $58-$72 to play this! If I had never played it before and came from out of town to play on the weekend, I would demand a refund after the second hole.
The only plus side is that the clubhouse is great to rest and eat. Good food. Great driving range with top tracer if you like that stuff. Staff was friendly and accommodating to my teen kids that played with me. They should really think about discounting their price until they get their greens in better shape. Otherwise it’s not worth playing. Can’t believe they are still charging what they charge for this course when there are courses in much better shape for way cheaper prices (within just a few miles of Blue Sky).

Could be so much more…
Course conditions were terrible. There was a horrific dead animal smell throughout the entire course. Could be cool layout if they treated it like a golf course and not a cow pasture.

Paid to much for so little
The driving range is amazing with a setup like top golf. Easy to pin point distance for each club.
But they were way over priced for two players. 141$ and overbooked and waited 20 mins per tee box no lie!!!! Marshall just sits in the bunk house and just says don't drive on course. BS. Dry course. Pace of play was the worst Ive seen and the greens are like putting in a parking lot. Dirt greens with spots of different kind of grass growing and I we had a horrible trip. Again. The amenities and driving range and course coaches are amazing. The layout of course isn't bad as well it was just always overbooked and the greens look like crap and the Marshalls do absolutely nothing to facilitate the pace of play

One And Done
Arnold Palmer signature course managed by Hampton and we had encouraging expectations. Oh, what a disappointment! With the exception of holes 10 through 12, we would have preferred a cow pasture. Tee boxes were bare dirt and weeds. And the greens were hardly any better, pitted, pock marked, and bare in spots.
On the bright side, the staff was great and there is a high tech driving range, albeit all hitting mats, with Trak Man monitors, chairs and tables. One and done.
