Staff was rude and disrespectful because I booked on Golf Now. I came an hour before my tee time and asked to get my cart so I could chip/putt and be ready. Said my 10 year old boy and I needed to practice first anyway that’s why we came early. He explained to me that they make no money on Golf Now transactions and he was doing what his boss told him to do and couldn’t accommodate. I asked did you just give these times away? He said no it’s a marketing thing to get golfers in. I laughed and said hmmm do you think it might be best to make golfers happy so they come back (was my first time golfing here and last). Asked to speak to the manager when he was in and he said he’d be right back. Went about warming up, chipping/putting but didn’t buy range balls since they were so accommodating to me. Saw the manager 15 mins before tee time and he said when is your tee time. Told him and he said I could go then. I’m like I just want a cart to be ready to go at my tee time. Do you not want your golfers to be ready before their tee time? He said fine give him a key but tee time is 1130. And he talked to me like I was a POS. Oh and there was like 5 cars in the parking lot so the place should’ve had lots of carts.

The course was in bad shape which was no surprise but I didn’t mind for the price since I was taking my 10yr old. The hot deal price is what this course should cost regularly.

Got to be the worst golf course in Jacksonville. Cannot think of one thing which is up to scratch. The government should fix it, privatize it or sell it for redevelopment.
    SORRY if the truth hurts!

Horrible fairways. Can't tell where the fairway begins and the rough ends. Even worse is the greens. Worst I have ever played. Nothing but dirt. Whole course is just sand. They did however get all new carts. Those are nice but the money could have been spent elsewhere. Maybe invest it in some lawn mowers and fertilizer.

I won't be returning. Just not fun.

You would think a city funded course would be in better shape than the cow pastors that are just down the road.
I booked a round online just to find out they had no record of my tee time when I arrived. Not to mention the "who cares attitude" they proudly displayed. Well when you are still using a fax machine for this type of communication you will have these problems.
Needless to say it will not happen again. They should either bring this course up to par, or shut it down.
They are charging $30.00 a round and the course is worse than bad. Wake up!

As a new golfer the wide fairways are very helpful. There aren't a lot of hazards to deal with but the small greens mean you have to really pitch and chip well.
The overall care of the course is improving with many of the fairways looking good (even in winter). There is a very limited pro-shop and I haven't found a hot meal but if you want to golf c'mon down.

I've played a few courses in the area and with the current management Fiddler's Green is well on it's way to become THE public course to play.
