Great value and fun tract
Played on a Sunday, not particularly crowded but we got bogged down on the back nine. The course was very wet although I don't think we have had a lot of rain lately. All bunkers were filled with water and considered ground under repair and some of the fairways were muddy as well. The greens were in great shape. Despite less than optimal conditions we always enjoy playing JC, it had nice diversity and the right amount of challenge.
Overall
Overall the course is in good shape. The greens are the best I’ve seen there for a while, albeit on the slow side but still putt true. The staff is basically non existent which is okay in my opinion. We teed off on a Sunday morning and there was no cart girl in sight. Groups back to back all morning is a good opportunity for revenue and not seeing one is disheartening for any golfer looking to drink some beers with their buddies. We paid $50 for the early morning tee time it’s worth it for the shape the greens are in.
Course conditions
Played here because of positive reviews. The last few reviews were of excellent course conditions. The fairways and greens were in healthy shape, a pretty soft for some overnight rain. The greens were not overly fast from what i previously read. The fairways were in great shape. The tee boxes, however, were in awful shape, very few patches of grass. They spreaded some winter rye on them but didn’t aerate, it’s just laying on top.
Great local course
Greens were excellent, rolled true and were fast! Fairways are in great shape as well. Friendly and welcoming staff, good pace of play, especially since it was a busy Saturday. Overall it was very enjoyable and I plan on going back soon.
Trust me go play!!
I be been coming to Julington for about a year now .. about 2 times a month. This course is in incredible shape, with a premium on hitting fairways. Trust me,go and see for yourself.... I think it’s one of the top courses in town now... greens are for sure the best in town... don’t wait go play!!
The course is a great layout
This course has 5 or 6 of my favorite holes in N E Florida.
Golf course is good condition, but no drink service
Golf course is very good condition as always. Well maintained both fairways and greens. But, it was very hot day, Indian summer. We did not see any drink service cart at the course.
Very wet
The course was cart path only due to the amount of rain but almost all of fairways were dry enough for cart use. Took almost five hours to play due to cart path only. A lot of deferred maintenance to bridges and cart paths. All of the bunkers were washed out or filled with water. Other than that it can be a challenging course.
Wooded course.
Odd course. Old fashioned but nice. Odd because distance from greens to next tee is huge. Not a problem but I’d bet the distance from 17th green to 18th tee was 3/4 mike.
Had a nice time and will visit again.
5 Hour Round
It took 5 hours to play this course. Ridiculous. There were people in front of us spraying the ball all over the place. I know everyone can't be a good golfer but you don't have to be slow. To add insult I was charged another 45 dollars because our 4th player got called into work and couldn't make it. I will not be visiting this course again and will be looking to book times with other providers.Rick Brewster
Great condition!
Julington is currently in great shape, I've never seen it better. The fairways are near perfect, greens are rolling great, unfortunately with all the rain the bunkers are in poor shape and playing as GUR, otherwise I would have marked 5 stars.
Punched greens
Totally disappointed with the Golf course, no one informed me about the greens have been punched poor customer service
The “Go To” course
I would have to say the course is in the best condition since I started playing it, 10 years ago. The greens looked and rolled excellent. I typically do not give 5 stars across the board but the day I played was awesome. This course has never let me down. Thus, this is my “Go To” course when ever I have friends and family in town.
Excellent condition
Entire course is in great shape. Back nine greens and fairways were very good. Greens were smooth and fast. There were some brown spots but in the rough near the cart path. I guess it was due to lack of rain. Front nine had some greens that were recently sanded. The sanded greens were fast and very little sand on your ball. We enjoyed our round of golf. Love the hot dogs from the bar.
Thank you for your 5-star rating! Book another round with us soon.
