The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.

"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."

Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.

Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

A few years ago the course was on the decline but the residents have purchased the course from the developer and is in awesome shape. They have a great price and it includes breakfast, lunch and 2 draft beers!

The course is in good shape, greens are fair. Friendly staff at the Proshop and Carts.
Very bad experience only with waitress Mrs. Debbi, which just take over her shift at 04.50 p.m., when my friend and me finished 18 holes and want to have our including meals + drinks. First we wait in row for 15 Min., because the CreditCard of the guy in front of us is not working, then Mrs. Debbi is taking over the cashier-system for further 8 Min. from the girl of the previous shift. After staying and waiting for 23 Min., and not told any sorry for let us waiting, we want to purchase our meals + drinks, and get told from Mrs. Debbi, that after 05.00 p.m. we can not get meals or drinks, which are paid in our "inclusive rate"!!!
The help comes only from the girl of the previous shift, which takes our order, after I was requesting for the manager! Even after Mrs Debbi served us the meal + drinks, there was no 'sorry' from her - only rude explenations, that it was the fault of the chef . . .

This course has gone steadily downhill for the past few years. Management is apparently more concerned with the amount of rounds played than the quality of the experience. The amount of people using the course for recreational activities such as bicycle riding and fishing is simply unacceptable. My last experience was just that, my last. I wont be going back.
