Ocean at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club
The Ocean Course is one of two 18-hole golf courses at Ponte Vedra Inn & Club. Built in 1928 without the help of construction equipment, a hundred mules were used to dredge lagoons and shape the mounding that provides dramatic undulations throughout the golf course. Ponte Vedra Inn & Club's Ocean Course is wide open and features small greens and rolling fairways. There are also a number of elevated greens that require strategic and accurate approach shots. Proper club selection is also important since strong ocean breezes often come into play. This scenic golf course boasts being home to the first island green ever built, located on its ninth hole.
