Fernandina Beach Golf Club boasts three distinctly different nines
FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. -- There are few better places to have a municipal course than Amelia Island. The wind becomes another hazard as one walks through a live-oak forest.
Fernandina Beach Golf Club also is getting freshened up, thanks to its new management team through Billy Casper Golf.
But it needs only a few tweaks because the basics are all there in the form of three distinctly different nines, with par ranging from 35 to 37. Each has its own personality, from the long-but-open West Course, to the narrow shot-makers' South Course to the quirky North Course, the original nine.
There's something here for everyone, as well as great service, smooth greens and a peaceful setting.
