ORANGE PARK, Fla. -- The Golf Club at Fleming Island, designed by Bobby Weed, is a course where mounds and contours are constant companions. Sometimes they'll work in your favor, deflecting a ball back into the fairway. Sometimes they won't, leaving your ball at a crazy angle to your feet.

It's some of that randomness that makes this course fun -- you're there for the ride. That's not to say it isn't a fair course, because it is. If you launch a shot to the middle of the fairway or green, you'll be in great shape. It's those mishits that make things iffy. And with six tee combinations, there's a length perfect for every golfer.

This club knows how to treat you. The staff is great, the amenities warm and friendly and the pro shop is well stocked. Open since 2000, the golf course is a good value. You get top-notch golf at a reasonable price.
