You have to play here...
This course in the Jacksonville, FL area is in the best shape I have ever seen. We had a great day and enjoyed the course.
Outstanding conditions, great course
Greens and fairways were in pristine condition. Pace of play was perfect. Highly recommend playing a round!
Julington Creek Country Club
The layout is varied and interesting. The course is in great shape. The fairways and the greens are plush, but the greens were slow as molasses. You had to really hit the ball to get it to the hole.
Disappointing
Very average course. Greens were painfully slow. Fairways are wide and generous. Cart paths need work or add shock absorbers to the carts.
Great layout. Terrible greens. Terrible place of play.
I'll keep it short and to the point. Great layout. Greens might have been the slowest I've ever putted on. Ever. Maybe rolled a 2. 5 hour round. I like the golf course, but people pay money for good greens. This place didn't have it.
VIVID GREEN GREENS....PERFECT FOR ST. PATRICK'S DAY
GREAT STAFF, GREAT LAYOUT, GREAT CONDITIONS.
IMMEDIATELY ENTERS MY PERSONAL TOP 10 PLACES TO TAKE VISTING FRIENDS & RELATIVES. OF COURSE I WILL TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THIS OUTSTANDING VALUE WHENEVER I HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY. VERY FEW INTIMIDATING SHOTS, PROMOTES PLEASANT, RELAXED EXPIERIECE. CAN'T
BELIEVE I HAVEN'T PLAYED HERE BEFORE NOW.
Julington Creek
This course was in great shape on the front 9 however the back 9 greens were in suspect shape.. Overall I would say that the green were a 8 out 10...
6 Hour Round
Tee time was pushed back 30+ minutes due to congestion on the course, I guess. Had to warm up on hitting mats which are in pretty bad shape. Waiting on every shot for the group a head of us, who was waiting on the group a head of them made for a long, miserable golfing experience. The course was surprisingly wet like they left the irrigation on all night. The cart girl needs to have her attitude checked as well. Not a great first impression when arriving at the course. Starter and pro-shop attendants were very friendly really only plus.
Course worth the price...
My friends and I took a golf weekend and discovered this slice of paradise. This was a hidden gem.
Very pleasant first visit
The course was in good shape and the greens firm and good paced with very even roll
We will definitely come back and play again
Anxious to play it again - great condition
Contrary to reports that the course was in very poor condition a couple of years ago, it was in great shape - green fairways and excellent greens for the most part. They had not been cut and were a little slow after the previous night's rain. Better than Fleming Island or Magnolia ... will go back asap!
A fun and very playable course
Course was in really good shape for February. Course is open for the average golfer but enough of a challenge for the above average golfer.
great course in great shape!
Fairways and greens both were in fantastic shape. Pace of play was excellent.
Pretty nice course
Very good conditions in both fairways and greens. I will DEFINITELY return! Aesthetically pleasing course also.. Plays fair.
Windy day in Jville
I really enjoyed the course but the wind proved to be too much of a challenge.
Winter Golf
Had an enjoyable round at the Champions Club. The course was in very good shape, no standing water, or areas needing work. The greens were firm and rolled very true. This was a good challenge for the average handicapper. I would be up for playing this course again.
Not a good experience
Made a tee time and they did not honor because the group that had the same tee time came with additional people so no practice time ( had to return bucket of balls ). Carts NEED brakes. The hospitality was horrible, cart people were to busy talking to clean our clubs or even acknowlege us when we finished.
Employees here need to go to a golf course and learn how to operate properly.
Great day out with friends
We were "welcomed" by a young lady who was very pushy about taking our clubs to the cart and only on the 3rd time did she relent. After that we were promptly checked in and given our ticket. We were paired up with another twosome and we had a very enjoyable 18 holes. We let 2 groups of two play through to allow them to progress through. The greens were slightly slow but they were beautiful and green! Overall for the money I can't say anything bad. The only knock would be the maintenance of the carts. Both my cart and the cart for our pairing had bad parking brakes which created a safety issue on some of the holes. I notified the staff and they were aware of the issue...
Looking good!
The course is in very good condition; greens and fairways are particularly nice. The pace of play, which can be slow on certain days, was excellent on the Friday morning I played. Big thumbs up all around.
