Julington Creek Golf Club

Course was in very good condition, Last Minute Golf was very easy to use.

I usually play whatever deals are under 25-30 bucks on golfnow.com This course rarely had a tee time in that range so when one popped up for 22 bucks I jumped on it. I had high hopes for the course but it was slightly overpriced for what you get. For 20-25 bucks it is fine but for higher rates there are plenty of other nice courses around that are more worth it. On a 90 plus degree Tuesday we had a 1030 tee time. There was a starter that held us to that. It took us as a 2some 2hrs and 20 minutes to play 9 holes. Then at the turn the tee was backed up 3 groups. With a ranger out there the pace of play was awful for mid day heat. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Course conditions were ok. fairways very good but greens had yellow spots throughout and slow unpredictable rolls due to grass length. I had high hopes for this course but will most likely not play again due to pace, conditions, and price. Again, staff was great though!

I have not played this course in over 15 months but last visit was very poor. Yesterdays visit was a complete turn around. Tee boxes were just a little course. Fairways very nice condition and divots were even being filled. Greens were somewhat slow and this was my only let down of the day as it was apparent their mowers for the greens were out of adjustment. on each track of the mower you can see one side was scalping and on hot days that is not good. Also the perimeters of the greens (not the collars) were forgotten as you can see where each pass started or stopped. They were watering the greens during the day which is great to see. Staff, inside and out were very receptive to constructive comments and seem to take them onboard. Was told that new head agronomist was hired and he is working hard to make things right. Bravo to him!
Aeration is taking place next week but I know I'll be back in a month or two to replay this course. Please keep up your efforts.

The round started out with a rain mist, then a drizzle and by the tenth hole a complete rain out. It was very difficult to play in the all out rain. So, we had to call it a day and quit playing. Therefore, a complete rating was not possible. Sorry!

course in great shape except for the sand bunkers.They have had a lot of rain and there was was water in some of the bunkers,not there fault but other wise course is in great condition

This is a very good course, in good condition. Challenging and not easy.
Driving range in need of new mats .

The course appears to be in the best shape in a long time. However, too many golfers here lack basic golf etiquette. Rangers need to be used to enforce rules including moving along slow(and I mean SLOW) players or letting players play through. The potential to turn a good course into an outstanding course is there. But rules really need to be enforced.

Course was great! Greens and fairways were top knotch! Fun and challenging course!

This was the 3rd time I have played this course. Senior tees are great. Greens are in great shape. Beautiful course. I will definitely play again.

Nothing bad about the course conditions, but my God was it hot that day! The course was packed so a 5 hr round made it even worse. We were locked up with the group in front and did not stop at the turn and it still took 5 hrs. Just a lil crowded, but course was great.

A lot of good things happening at Champions Club! New ownership seems to be right on track to make this course really good.

The Champions is in excellent condition, greens are putting fantastic and if you played it two years ago, you probably never went back. Everything has changed including the management.
This course is lots of fun but will be challenging for golfers who only play once or twice a month.
Pro shop personnel very nice as with the knowledgeable starters who are concerned about getting groups off on time and keeping the pace of play going.

Course was in great shape. Supposedly under new management and although the pro shop and and bar area wasn't fantastic the course was awesome! Greens rolled fast. Fairways were in very good condition. And 15 out of the 18 tee boxes were flawless. I will play this course manyore times.

The course was in great shape. Greens have come a long way as well. Pace of play was slow but it was a Saturday so it's to be expected. Great course value.

Greens were in the best shape I have ever seen them. Unfortunately the pace of play was slow and there was no ranger to get the slow players moving. Probably the worst golf etiquette I have seen in my life by golfers in front of us.

I removed Jullington Creek from my list of courses to play in the area. I removed the course because the staff was terrible and the course was over priced with little to no competitive rates. A friend of mine told me that the course was under new management and was offering specials at Golfnow.com. I found the offer and played the course for the first time in several years. The staff was awesome, the rate was fair and the course was in EXCELLENT shape. It drained well and the greens are in the best shape of any course in the area. The Champions Club is back on my list of courses to play.

The course was in good shape except the greens were slow and a little bumpy. If they would have been rolled it would have been great.

I like this course. I've played it many times. I know it was recently bought. The play was very slow. 5-10 minute waits on most tees. A few even longer. The course is in pretty decent shape. The greens are nice and lush, however they are very slow, even with downhill putts. Probably ok for the occasional golfer/high handicapper but it made for a very frustrating day for all in our group. Hopefully the new owners will do something (rolling) about the green speeds.

Course is in great shape. Fairways and greens are in pristine condition. Pace of play was just right with very little waiting and not being pushed from behind.

Course reminds me of Carolina courses. Many doglegs and lots of trees. Greens have a lot of grass on them and are moderate speed but very consistent. Will certainly play here again.
