The Country Club of Orange Park provides a scenic challenge with a diverse landscape of protected wetlands and towering oak trees. There is also a bird sanctuary that runs along the entire right side of the first five holes, offering golfers a glimpse of the wildlife that inhabit the golf course including wild turkeys, deer, and osprey. The layout features tree-lined fairways and large greens. The golf course has a more traditional feel with tees and fairways that were cut close to the greens, resulting in a narrow field of play. There is water on 14 holes and bunkers strategically placed around the greens.

Course layout is nice with challenging areas
Tee boxes need some serious love but other than that course is pretty. Challenging but I like harder courses
Only problem I have is allowing members to go off on 10 to start their round. This slows the pace when you have finished 9 and think you are in a good position.

Played course for first time and enjoyed it. Very nice layout of course and staff was very friendly.
yeh, we braved tne elements
very,very windy and cold!! not a nice day, so our golf wasn't real fun. but the course treated us well.
Fabulous Winter Day
Blue skies, no wind, 70 degrees. Course is in good condition. A little slow on a Sunday afternoon, but overall a great value and fun time.
Good Value
The course is in good shape especially the greens and bunkers. Lotta shots over water which not my strong suit so I did not enjoy the course as much as I might have.
But you will not be disappointed in anything.........bar, range, staff etc all good
Afternoons getting worse and worse
I've played here 3 times in the last few months. Granted, some play was on "holidays" but even so, there is no on course ranger to help keep pace of play. We go stuck between a fivesome (members) last round here and got stuck behind a sixsome (yes, 6!) on our last round.
Love the course conditions, layout, etc. But way too many beginners and no one to manage them!
Nice Fall round
We played after a Member/Guest tournament and had to tee off on #16, but all worked out very well. Very nice pace of play and course was in good shape, particularly greens.
Don't play on a Friday afternoon
Friday afternoon at 12:30. They have a group that goes out. No very friendly. If you get out ahead of them the back is super slow as everyone else starts there

Interrupted round
Course is in good shape and the staff is very helpful and friendly. As a twosome we played the front in good time and enjoyed it very much When we reached the 10th tee box there were 6 people In the fairway. We tried to skip the hole and go around them to the next tee box. They shouted to us that they were a five some and another five some was in front of us. They said we couldn't get in between their groups. We thanked them and headed back to the 10th tee box. Instead of plying behind two five some, my wife and I just left. Not such a great value since we only played 9 for the price of 18.
Uncut grass.
When checking in we were told the rough was very high. If the ball was off the fairway just a little you could not find the ball. On hole 8 we waited for the crew with a tractor pulling a mower out of the mud. I asked them why the course was in this bad condition. I was told their equipment was broken and they were waiting on parts and also short handed. After 9 holes one of our party quit leaving 3. The greens were in good shape but getting there wasn't pretty.
Great course but needs a little landscaping.
I've played this course before and thought it was a good value, but when I last played it. The grass hasn't been cut in a while. It's disappointing to lose golf balls that I hit a couple of feet off the fairway because the grass is too thick.

Liking this course
Played this course for 3rd time yesterday, liking it more each time I play it. Good layout, requires thought in shot/club selection. Course is in good condition, even in the 90+ heat. I have not availed myself of the clubhouse amenities, but it is a nice looking joint. Good practice facilities, friendly staff. Recommended!

A must play
This course is well worth the money. It was in fantastic shape and the staff was one of the best around. One word of caution...be somewhat careful on a Sunday morning. There is a club tournament that goes off in the AM. When I heard they were just ahead of us, I got a little nervous but the pro shop and the starter said "not too worry".
I still worried - but I didn't need to. The pace was just fine and everyone had a great day.
