About
Editor's Note: Course closed for business in 03/2019.
The Country Club of Orange Park provides a scenic challenge with a diverse landscape of protected wetlands and towering oak trees. There is also a bird sanctuary that runs along the entire right side of the first five holes, offering golfers a glimpse of the wildlife that inhabit the golf course including wild turkeys, deer, and osprey. The layout features tree-lined fairways and large greens. The golf course has a more traditional feel with tees and fairways that were cut close to the greens, resulting in a narrow field of play. There is water on 14 holes and bunkers strategically placed around the greens.

Nice course but some ruff tee boxes
Nice course but some of the tee boxes are horrible, especially hole 14 tee box. The box has been horrible for a while! Please fix it.
Great course!
A really good course with a great layout. Plays longer because of many uphill approaches.
Cart Person
I started play at 2pm, I saw the cart person 1 time. I should be communicated there isn’t a cart person before you arrive, so you can have enough drinks and snack for a 4 hour play.
Country Club of Orange Park
Good course. Greens were mostly in good shape and pretty fast. Pace of play was excellent.
Overall a very good course and the staff was all very friendly.
Fall Westher Golf @ Orange Park!
Early Tee Time, first Group off. Great time of the year to play golf in Jacksonville.
Course in good condition.
Will play course again.
Good round
Jacksonville resident played this course many times in different seasons the course was in pretty good shape especially after Hurricane Irma. Greens were fast but fair and pace of play was very good. We were third group out.
I was surprised the course was not too crouded on Saturday with nice weather. Despite of bad hit by Irma, the course is well recovered. Nice layoff and well maintsined greens are attractive to me most. I was a bit disappointed the snack bar closed too early while players are on the course. I will play there again soon.
Course conditions have improved nicely since Hurricane Irma
The course seems to have bounced back nicely after Hurricane Irma cause flooding and lots of tree debris to be scattered throughout the course. While the fairways and greens have been cleared and are in good shape be careful not to stray from them. There is still a lot of tree debris in the areas where there are trees and most of the grass in these areas is still uncut making it extremely tough to locate your ball let alone hit it out.
Ran out of range balls...
My group golfs over 50 rounds a year. This is the first time we heard the excuse, "we ran out of range balls." It immediately put a damper on the day bc the group could not warm up. I understand it's not a big deal to some but to some it is.
Paid Full Price to pay back 9 TWICE?!?!?!?
no indication on golf now.com that front 9 was closed due to hurricane damage.
What's worse is that it was still $46 to play the damaged course back nine twice.
Staff was so rude and didn't offer a discount dispite the inconvenience. Staff even said "if you would have called instead of booking online, we would have told you!" RUDE!!
Basically what the booking staff was implying was, don't bother booking online since it is not accurate.
Hidden Gem
Played this course numerous times and each time has me wanting to make time to visit again.
Staff is always courteous with a smile and the price is not bad
I like the fact they allowed us to start our round a little earlier because of open tee times.
Awesome Round
Course is in top shape. Putting surfaces in excellent condition. Fairways are clean. Pace of play right now is perfect. I played a round in 3 and a half hours including a 25 minutes stop for lunch between front and back nine holes.
Friendly staff, lovely course.
Nice course in the country club mould, was totally deserted when I played on a tuesday afternoon.
Greens were great, very true if a hair slower than perfect, but rain had been around.
Was a little difficult for the first time playing through, lots of water and got caught out with the odd unexpected hazard.
All in all, very good, and great value at $30.
Nice Place to Play
Even though the course is older, it is a great place to play. Well maintained and beautiful.
Nice Course - Hot Day
First, let me say I'm a new golfer, I picked up my first club a year ago. This is the 3rd course I've ever played and I will be back for sure. The tee boxes were in good shape, the fairways were diverse/challenging and the greens rolled nicely. The course fit the landscape nicely and used the natural obstacles very effectively. It was a hot day and I was happy to card a 106. Scored my first birdie ever, I will be back to get the score into double digits.
