Eagle Landing Golf Club
About
The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.
"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."
Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

Great Course in Jacksonville Area
Me and my friend played here for the first time and absolutely loved it, it was a fantastic course for the price. The greens rolled true, and were a good speed, and the course pace of play was pretty good, as we only waited on a few holes. Overall, if you’re looking for golf in the Jacksonville area, I definitely recommend this course, as there are many great holes, and a lot of birdie and par opportunities.
Thumbs Up All Around
The course was a treat to play and well worth the 40 mile journey from the other side of town. Everything from the tee boxes to the fairways to the sand traps to the greens were in excellent shape. The greens held nicely and rolled fast and true. The pace of play was great (under 4 hr round), lots of water jugs on the course, beverage cart made multiple cycles, and the staff was great.
This is not an overly difficult course, but it definitely provides some great challenges and is very "playable". Fairways are plenty wide where you don't need to be laser straight and can uncork your driver although there are some spots where a 3 or 5 wood might be the better "golf shot" that minimizes risk. There are also ample tee boxes to align with varying skill levels.
Play a round here and you won't be disappointed and will quickly be planning your next tee time at Eagle Landing.
All around great time
Lightning greens
Fast firm fairways
Course was in great shape
The greens are fast
I haven’t play this course in a few years because I moved out of the area. I play Eagle Landing the first weekend it was opened and always enjoyed the course. I must say the greens are much faster than any I’ve play on in years. I didn’t putt any before my round because the starter rushed us out before our tee time. I won’t let that happen again.
Amazing condition
Course is in great condition as always. Greens were fast and true. Played a day after rain and the greens were grabbing everything. Amazing outing.
Money Hungry!!!!
I’ve been playing this course since 2014 and have taken many friends and family members and also hosted UNF events there. If you asked me last week would I recommend this course I’d have said “heck yes”. Today was a nightmare. Apart from waiting 10-15 minutes per shot because of overbooked tee times, they are now charging $30 on top of what you pay for 18 holes and a cart to ride in a cart alone. The course pro made the decision that if you are a solo golfer it is an additional $30 to drive alone (mind your here were 20+ carts still available to use). I will say the course was in great shape but the staff thinks they are working for TPC Sawgrass and in their words “want to make sure the RIGHT people are playing their course.” Take that how you want to and support them how you want to but as for a guy who would have recommended this course to everyone and anyone, I have officially played my last round at the Eagle Landing Golf Club. There are tons of better options with less daddy’s trust fund staff in Jacksonville.
Great Course
Always In Great Shape. Nice Amenities And Staff. Highly Recommend This Course.
Nice course
Definitely worth the money. Paid $50 on Monday at 1pm. Ate before playing and the food was good. Staff is friendly and the course was in beautiful shape. Definitely recommend playing this course
Terrible
Don’t play here. Staff is not friendly and does not care about pace of play.
Stormy day golf
I've been playing this course for years...always in great shape and the staff is wonderful...just took me by surprise how costly drinks were in the clubhouse....and the green fees are a little steep....
Eagle Landing GC delivers again
Weather: Fairly cool day at the outset but warmed up to short sleeves.
Course: As always, the Course Super and crew do a great job prepping and maintaining this course. Greens ran smooth and fast. Fairways were near perfect and rough was fair.
Club house and Staff: Staff was friendly and helpful.
Always in great shape
This course is always in great playable shape. From tee to green every hole's condition is consistent. My hats off the the Course Super and the ground staff-job well done. Highly recommend this course.
This is the place!
Play here as often as you can. There is no better public golf course in the Jax area.
