About
Julington Creek Golf Club (previously known as The Champions Club at Julington Creek), designed and owned by PGA Professional Steve Melnyk, offers a retreat to traditional designs of the past. With rolling Bermuda grass fairways wrapped around sparkling lakes and dense woods, the Julington Creek Golf Club offers a challenging but playable experience for the advanced and average golfer.
Since its opening in 1992, the Julington Creek Golf Club has played host to the Hooters Tour Jacksonville Open from 1996 to 1998 and the World Junior Championship Finals in 1997.
The golf course measures 6,908 yards from the gold tees. The longest hole is No. 14 at 566 yards. Champions has a rating of 72.4 and a slope of 127.

Course Conditions
The overall condition of the course was good, although some of the tee boxes and fairways were a bit rough (divots). This is not necessarily the fault of the course. Lots of people just do not "fix" the damage they cause, by replacing divots or filling them in with sand. The greens were very good!!!!
I would definitely play this course again.

Course In Great Shape
The course is in great shape. The tee boxes and greens were in excellent condition. We finished our round in less than 4 hours. I had not played this course in over 7yrs because of reviews I read. I will definitely play this course again soon.

Family Golf
Excellent golf day with my sons. Course in good shape, greens in excellent shape for this time of year. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Solid Course, Great Price
Booked a golfnow Hot Deal. The course seems very reasonably priced as is, but with the Hot Deal it was clearly a steal.
Layout is fun and challenge. Course conditions are pristine! The pace was literally 4 hours on the dot and we we're a foursome. I'd definitely play here again.

ladies tees were too short for the course
Lousy sprinkler system
Very nice course, good condition but the sprinklers kept coming on or never turn off as you approached the greens. It made it very hard from green to green to figure out speed.
Course condition
I enjoy this course because it has all the tangible elements to force a golfer to play ball placement golf. It will challenge every aspect of your game. I seen a short "S" shape short par 5 that requires you to hit a power fade & a draw on the approach. A lot of the holes are very tight with trees, bunkers and out of bounce stacks are everywhere! The rough is thick , hard to control the bill out of it. The greens are pretty fast. I'll be back!!
What a surprise! Go check it out for yourself
After seeing BAD reviews for a long time I have decided to go see for myself. And was treated to a great round of golf. The greens were a little slow but had a Bunch of grass on them. No bare or dry spots. The Fairways were the FULLEST and had the most grass coverage than any course i have played in the Jacksonville Area. Great lies to hit your irons off of. So if you have not been to Julington in a while give it a try!!
great layout
Weather was nice for this time of year, pace of play was excellent and course was in pretty good shape. Greens a bit slower than I remember from last time but still a fun course.
Decent layout, slow greens
This could be an exceptional course if they lowered the blades on all the mowers. Slow fairways and even slower greens. If you are looking to practice your iron play this is a pretty solid course.
Julington in July
Cart paths dirty and sandy and rough. Some of the greens still need work and the sand traps were like dirt.
Poorly maintained
There are better courses in the area. Dont pay for poor greens, awful bunkers,bumpy cart paths.
Iffy Condidtions
Greens and tees are in lousy shape.
The facility is very tired.
The neighborhood has matured and is desirable and affluent, golf club doesn't match up.
Nice Round
The greens were he only downside but I'm sure that is being fixed. Always have a good time and enjoy playing here
Father's Day Weekend
To be completely honest, I was disappointed with Julington Creek Golf Club.
Our 9:33 tee time started at 9:55.
Pace of play was terrible. When we got to par 5 8th, there were 4 groups on the hole. I called for Ranger assistance and we ended up being told to be patient. Never mind the groups spending 10 minutes looking for lost golf balls. It really rubbed me the wrong way.
The greens are in terrible condition. Tons of bare places and incredibly slow and sandy.
Decent driving range. Terrible putting green.
I won't be returning. Too many great golf courses in the area to waste my money there again. I wish I had chosen a different course to take my father for Father's Day.
Great course..
Great course for the straight ball hitter..Must be able to hit all clubs and hit them well..Greens rolled true and were average speed..Overall, I would play it again..
