Eagle Landing Golf Club
About
The 7,037 yard Clyde Johnston design at Eagle Landing weaves through the Florida landscape and takes on a vintage feel as he incorporates several of the classic design holes from around the world into the par-72 layout.
"My goal, says Johnston is to intersperse classic holes such as the Redan Hole, the Eden, and the Cardinal into the routing in order to lend a sense of purity to the golf experience at Eagle Landing. Those individual designs are so technically and aesthetically complete that they can truly elevate a golfing experience."
Johnston's philosophy in designing a Club course remains the same as his other courses; begin each nine relatively easy and progressively get harder. The Eagle Landing course offers six sets of tees, from championship to youth tees, allowing the course to play as easy or as difficult as desired. Johnston's previous designs in northeast Florida include Eagle Harbor Golf Club, St. Johns Golf & Country Club, and Jacksonville Golf & Country Club.
Eagle Landing also offers a magnificent golf clubhouse with sports bar, fully-stocked pro shop, his and her locker rooms, and an elegant restaurant overlooking sparkling water and lush fairways. The staff of PGA professionals will coordinate a host of exciting tournaments and events on the course and in the clubhouse.

Quality
Course is in great shape, literally nothing to complain about quality wise.
Pace of play is the only issue with this course, the marshals really don’t seem to keep the pace of play moving.
I was behind a group that was pushing a 6 hour round. This has happened several times.
Course is beautiful and in great shape
One of the “greenest” courses around. Tee boxes, fairways and greens in nice shape! Greens pretty Sandy…but part of maintenance, but still nice and rolled fast.
Nice golf community course
Good golf course. Enjoyable layout. Conditions were good. Greens very fast. Good value for $60.
Bag drop unmanned upon arrival. Self serve cart setup. Pro shop staff indifferent while checking in. More interested in talking to each other than the customer. Starter was polite but didn’t bother to pair golfers up. No ranger.
Just OK
For the price the course was fine. Greens were extremely fast and fairways were pretty hard and dry.. The staff courtesy was underwhelming and not very accommodating. There is no one to handle your bags, and if this is your first time be sure to ask the pro shop where the 1st T is located; there’s no sign pointing you in the right direction.
Nice course
This was a beautiful course. Pretty challenging for the average golfer. The greens were FAST !!! We will be back to seek improvement.
Monday golf
I like this course and occasionally make the long trip ( close to an hour each way) to play it.
Good course.
Course conditions were really good. Greens were excellent.
First visit
On Monday 20 Feb I played Eagle Landing for the first time. Nice course which was in good shape for the most part. Unique layout in that it had very few straight holes and holes dog legged to the left rather than the right. Which if you are right handed and not used to drawing the ball it will present significant challenges. It was almost an hour drive from the house. The rate for 18 with cart on a holiday was definitively reasonable. But the lengthy commute to and from will keep me from playing the course on a regular basis. But I am glad I tried the course.
